About The JNU Recruitment December 2012:

The JNU expended form as Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi has issued the notification about the filling up the various faculty positions at the level of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various areas of specialization. Applications are invited to those candidates who have good academic record, teaching/research experience and working in related areas of research are encouraged to apply. JNU solicits applications from candidates with research interests that are interdisciplinary too.

• Professor – 62 Posts:

Eligibility Criteria :

1.  Applying candidates should be an eminent scholar with a doctoral degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline as well as published work of high quality, and actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of ten publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
2.  Candidates are required a min. 10 years experience in PG teaching and research project at any University/National level institution, including experience of guiding research at doctoral level.

• Associate Professor – 94 Posts

Eligibility Criteria : 

1. To apply for the post of Associate Professor, the candidates must have  Masters degree  in his/her hand with at least marks weight-age of 55% or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale  with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E.
2. He/she should have min.  8 years experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent.

• Assistant Professor – 08 Posts

Eligibility Criteria :

1. He/She should have Master Degree with at least 55% marks or, an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F  with good academic record.
2. M.Phil and Ph.D. in the relevant field may be prescribed in appropriate cases, a desirable or essential qualification. 
3. The min. qualifications shall not be relaxed even if a candidate has research degrees like M.Phil or Ph.D.
