1. Post Matric Scholarship : 

Under this MOMA Post Metric scholarship Scheme, those Students of Government as well as Suitable Private Colleges/Universities/Institutions of India will be awarded with Scholarships who wish to  keep continue their Study for Higher Education. Many of Students leave their study after the 12th (10+2) Class specially Girls only due to lack of money for higher study which is much costlier than Basic Education. It will also covers the Technical as well as Vocational Courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centers affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). The objective of the scholarship is to award the meritorious students who belong to economically weaker sections and to help them to pursue education from class XI to PhD and Technical /Vocational Courses for developing their employ-ability skills.


Eligibility Criteria/Qualifications required:
  • Educational Records: Students who  are going to apply have marks 50 % or above in the previous final examination.
  • Annual Income: The annual income, from all sources, of the student’s parents or guardian should not be more than Rs. 2 lakh. The Scholarships to be provided in the ascending order from lowest order from Below Poverty Line(BPL) Families.
  • Only 2 students from every family can take advantages o this scholarship.
  • Reservation for Girls Students: 30% of scholarship will be earmarked for girl students.

Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme:

Under this MOMA Mean cum Merit Scholarship Scheme, those students can take financial Support who belongs to minority communities and wanna pursuing the professional and technical courses. Those candidates belongs to belonging to Minority communities wish to continue or wanna pursue undergraduate(UG), post graduate(PG), technical and professional courses. 
Eligibility Criteria Required:
  1. Those students who have gotten admission in a recognized college/university to pursue technical/professional courses, on the basis of a competitive examination
  2. Students should have not marks less than 50 % at higher secondary/graduation level to be an eligible candidates. 
  3. Selection of these students will be done strictly of merit basis.

Topics /Innovations for Competition:

In addition, during their vacations or otherwise, the students are encouraged to look for other people who come out with innovative machines/devices or solve day to day problems using their creativity. Similarly they are also encouraged to document and learn traditional knowledge practices from their elders in their family and neighborhood  The purpose is to expose them to the rich traditional heritage we have, facilitating its transfer from generation to generation. The students submitting the maximum number of properly documented entries (Innovations/Traditional Knowledge) to the schools (which would forward them to NIF) or directly to NIF would be given appreciation certificates from NIF. For each innovation/traditional knowledge practice spotted and documented by the student, he/she will be credited as being the 'Scout' for that particular innovation/traditional knowledge in records.

Topics/Projects/Innovations not be Accepted:
Simple essays, write-ups on problems like population, corruption, global warming, unemployment etc will not be accepted as well as common projects/concepts (from text books/other make yourself books) like hydel power project, rain water harvesting, water level indicators, vermi compost/ vermiwash, letter box alarm and other alarms, using turbines to generate energy, using solar energy to do various things, electricity generation through waste batteries/dung/transport/waves or earthquake alarm. Projects guided by teachers/parents. Teachers and parents are specifically requested not to be suggestive to the children and let them come up with some creative idea of their own. In case, the teachers or parents have an interesting idea(s) they can send it to us separately.

Category 'A' : BPL Students:

  1. Girl students belonging to BPL families studying in class IX to XII in a Govt. and Govt. Aided Schools.

Category 'B' : ITI Students
Students studying in Govt. and Private ITIs in courses / trades as per Annexure-III Courses of duration, one year or two year shall only be eligible. Minimum percentage of marks in previous examination should be 50%. Further, students staying in hostel shall be paid extra in addition to scholarship.

Category 'C' : General Students
  1. Students who have secured 70% or above in the case of girls and 75% or above in the case of boys in their last / qualifying examination including X & XII in respect of students from Karnataka and West Bengal.  However, for students other than Karnataka and West Bengal the percentage of marks is minimum 60% in respect of girls and minimum 70% in respect of boys.
  2. Students whose entire family income from all sources is less than Rs.2.00 lacs p.a. shall be eligible.
  3. Scholarship shall be discontinued after the student crosses the age of 30.
  4. Only those who study in reputed colleges on regular basis, affiliated to university of repute - UGC are eligible
Those who study through correspondence or in Part time colleges are not eligible.
Following courses shall be eligible for scholarship :
  1. Students of Graduate Courses like : B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., BFA, Homeopathy, B.Pharma, BCA, BBA, BBM, Bachelor of Business Economics / Finance, B.Sc. (Agriculture), BVSC and course in Naturopathy like : BNYS. Engineering courses like : Computer Science / Engineering (IT) / (Bio-Technology), Nuclear Engineering, Industrial Environment Engineering, Plastic Technology & Petro Chemical Engineering.
  2. Students of Post Graduation Courses like : M.A., M.Phil, M.Com, M.Pharma, M.Lib (Science), MBA, Master of Business Economics / Finance / Human Resources Management/ International Business / M.Sc. / MVSc, M.Sc. (Agriculture), MCA, Organic Agriculture, Solar Energy, Rural / Urban Management.
  3. Students of Graduation and Post Graduation including diploma courses in the field of Environment like : Environment Scientist, Environment Engineer and Environment Journalist. Students of Graduation and Post Graduation Courses in Hospitality, Architecture, Physiotherapy, Micro Biology, Forensic Sciences and Social Work.
    It is further to clarify that no Ph.D. courses are eligible for scholarship. Applications for medical including dentistry and engineering courses -degree or diploma other than mentioned above will not be entertained at all.
  4. Physically Challanged or Handicap Students:Scholarship eligible for pre-university, graduation and post graduation courses.

    Students who have secured 85% or above marks in their qualifying examination shall be paid additional amount for graduation and post graduation courses.

About NASA Space Settlement Contest 2013:

This annual contest, co-sponsored by NASA Ames and the National Space Society (NSS) is being organizedr all students up to 12th /Class Grade (Age: 18 years old) from anywhere in the world. 
NASA Space Settlement Contest - 2013This contest is based on Submissions that are  relate to orbital settlements. Settlements may not be on a planet or moon. Settlements must be permanent, relatively self-sufficient homes, not temporary work camps.
 Designs, original research, essays, stories, models, artwork or any other orbital space settlement related materials may be submitted.
Two copies of the entry form with the appropriate information must be included with the submission; one attached to the submission and one loose. If possible, three-hole punch the loose one. Be sure to fill out all fields. Please type if at all possible. Use a separate sheet if necessary.

Eligibility:

The NASA Space Settlement Design Contest is intended for students in grades 6-12, although younger students may enter Individual or teams from anywhere in the world propose a design for a space settlement, a permanent community in orbit rather than on another planet or moon.
Individuals, small teams of two to six, and large teams of seven or more are judged separately. 
  • Education: Entries are also grouped by age/grade of the oldest contestant for judging. The age groups are 7th and under, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Class/grade.
 Contestants give NASA the right to publish their submissions without restriction as a condition for entering the contest.

Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Haryana has brought the SPAT 2013 for award of scholarships and kits to budding sportsperson of Haryana. Those who wish to participate in SPAT to be held in three stages subject fulfilment of eligibility conditions. For participating in SPAT 2013 candidates must be aged between 08 & 19 years.
First Round of SPAT will be held in  20 December2012

Eligibility:

SPAT is open for both  girls and boys under age group of  8-19 years .
Participants from all over the state in the age group 8 – 19 years are administered Sports & Physical Aptitude Test, a battery of standardized tests. It measures one's athletic potential in terms of agility, flexibility, endurance and strength.
As per government policy, one scoring 75%  and ranked in first 5000 in SPAT 2012 will be awarded monthly  scholarship.

Events & Selection:

  •  Round  1st of SPAT 2013 
In schools from 20 December , 2012- 05 January, 2013
It will consist of three events only - 30 m flying race, 6x10 shuttle Run & Standing Broad Jump. Those scoring over 75% will be recommended by the concerned school for the Round II. Sport department will conduct subsequent rounds on its own to identify top 5000 participants for scholarship.

  • Round 2nd of SPAT 2013:
 This round will be held from 28 January-6 February  2013.
 In this leg, all 7 tests SPAT - 30m Flying, 6 x 10m Shuttle Run, Forward Bend and Reach, Standing Broad Jump, Vertical Jump, Medicine Ball and 800m race - will be administered. The department shall conduct final round later on.
  • Final/ 3rd Round of SPAT 2012
 This round will be hed from 10 -15 February,  2013.
 In this leg, again all 7 tests of SPAT - 30m Flying, 6 x 10m Shuttle Run, Forward Bend and Reach, Standing Broad Jump, Vertical Jump, Medicine Ball and 800m race - will be administered.

SPAT stands for Sports & Physical Aptitude Test. It a battery of seven tests that reliably measures one's athletic potential in terms of agility, flexibility endurance and strength. There are 7 tests - 800 meter run, 30 meter race, 6x10 shuttle run, medicine ball throw, forward bend and reach, vertical high jump and standing broad jump. Scoring is age and gender responsive.

All the Interested candidates can Apply Online by  registration  at Official Website i.e.  www.play4india.com .  Those who want to participate in SPAT 2013 can log on to play4india.com fill and submit the registration form.

NOTE: According to Official sources, candidates also can registration by Mobile Phone... This year 2013, all the candidates have both option: Internet and Mobile.
(This step is taken due to Rural/Village candidates( where Internet facility is unavailable), those can register their names by Mobile Phone.. 

Scholarships Under SPAT 2013:

5000 Scholarships are on offer in SPAT 2013 for aspiring athlete in 8-19 years age group for year 2012-13.  It will be for the financial year 2013-14.
