The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (I), 2013 on 17th February, 2013 for admission to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy amd Air force Academy and Officers Training Academy, Chennai for the cources (Men and Women. Vacancies :
name and number of posts:
- Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 136th Course commencing in January, 2014: 260 Posts [including 32 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders].
- Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala-Course Commencing in January, 2014 Executive (Hydro/ General Service): 40 Posts (including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders (Naval Wing).
- Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in January, 2014 i.e. No.195th F(P) Course : 32 Posts
- Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 99th SSC Course (for Men) commencing in April, 2014: 176 Posts
- Officers Training Academy, Chennai 13th SSC Women (Non Technical) Course commencing in April, 2014 : 12 Posts
eligibility:
Educational Qualifications:
- Degree of a recognized University or equivalent/ B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering.
- Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for the Examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the Degree Examination or equivalent examination by the specified dates.
Physical Standards:
- Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.

Application fee : Rs.200/- for General OBC Candidates (NO fee for SC/ST/Female) – by Cash / online mode via Visa/Master credit / debit card of SBI and Associated Banks.
