About the AFCAT( Air Force Common Admission Test) 2013
Indian Air Force (IAF) invites both male & female candidates for the filling up the recruitment of Commissioned Officer vacancies in Flying,Technical and Ground Duty Branches. To filling up the posts a Test will be conducted by Air Force named Common Admission Test (AFCAT) – 01/2013. - Flying Branch: Short Service Commission (42 SSC) Course
- Technical Branch: Short Service Commission (56 SSC) Course
- Ground Duty Branches:Short Service Commission (44 SSC) Course
Eligibility:
- Educational Qualification :
- For flying Branch : Candidates must have Graduation Degree from Recognized University.
- For Technical Branch : Candidates should have done Aeronautical Engg. from Recognized University.
- For Ground Duty branches : Candidates are pleased to refer the notification for complete details.
- For flying branch : Age must be Between 19 years to 23 years
- For Technical Branch : Age must be Between 18 years to 28 years
- For Ground Duty branches : Age must be Between 20 years to 27 years.

Candidates who want to apply for Flying branch, they need to face Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) which is based on the choice of branch/eligibility.
Selection process:
Selection will be done on the basis of performance in AFCAT followed by Intelligence Test, Psychological Test, Group Test, Medical Examination and Interview conducted by Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs).
