About the Competitive Exam:
The Staff Selection Commission is going to conduct a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination on dated 04 November 2012 at DELHI, ALLAHABAD, MUMBAI, BANGALORE, GUWAHATI, KOLKATA, CHENNAI, CHANDIGARH AND RAIPUR in accordance with the enclosed rules framed and notified in the Gazette of India.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age: - Candidates should not be more than 50 years of age on 01.08.2012 i.e. he/she must not have been born earlier than 31-07-1962. This provision is not applicable in case of LDCs belonging to Armed Forces Headquarters Clerical Service
The aspirant should have passed the monthly/Quarterly type writing test held by the SSC, before the date of notification of the examination.

How To Apply:
• Candidates seeking admission to the examination should apply to the Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission, Block No. 12, C.G.O. Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi before 7 September 2012.
• Applications must be submitted in the prescribed form published in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar dated 11 August 2012.
• Students can also file in their application, by downloading the same from the website at http://ssc.nic.in/

The completed application forms through the cadre authorities must reach the
Regional Director (NR),
Staff Selection Commission, Block No.12, C.G.O. Complex,
Lodhi Road, New Delhi 110504
on or before 07.09.2012 (5.00 P.M.) and from candidates residing abroad and from Andaman Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep by 16.09.2012 accompanied by necessary documents in accordance with the Instructions to Candidates contained in the Annexure. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered
Exam Plan & Selection Procedure:
- In Written Examination there will be 2 papers.
Paper-I: which will be objective type and there will be negative marking of 1/4 marks for each wrong answer in written examination. The whole paper will be of 200 marks. This paper include:
- General Awareness
- Comprehension and Writing Ability of English Language
Paper-II: The paper would be of the conventional type, which would include:
- Noting Drafting and Office Procedure
- Question paper would be made available in both Hindi and English.
- Following the test, students who qualify in the examination, will be called in for an interview.
- After the interview, the final merit list would be prepared on teh basis of teh examination and the merit list.
